This is an interesting case.
I knew this guy, the organization I worked for worked with Damilola on a project in his school.
Having been bought to this country by his Aunt it appears he neglected to stick to the rules when it came to confirming his residency – and as a consequence he was six weeks late.
The Home Office are refusing to allow him leave to stay despite the fact that he has been a model young citizen and both the courts and the immigration authorities appear to believe he should stay,
It shows how much of a difficult and thorny issue immigration is.

Not surprised, typical lack of the most basic common sense by the Labour authorities and the moribund civil service to take a sensible decision in spite of some “technical” infringement.
I truly despair that we seem unable to deport out and out criminals and islamic trouble makers who dont actually live in this country, but cannot permit useful and productive people to stay.
Where do his Human Rights stand on this case?
